I've looked for this for a while, and most people seem to be under the assumption that the closest you can get to a minecraft.exe is in the shell:appsfolder However, when i right click it, there is no option for properties nor to search for the files location. I went through the folders in c:\program files\windowsapps and found multiple minecraft folders, all labeled microsoft.xxxxx, but this one specifically housed minecraft.exe.

P.s if you want to get the old launcher back until a solution is found for the new one you can goto the minecraft website and download the windows 7/8 version (even if you are using windows 10 or 11) The only way i can access it is by searching it up by pressing the windows button on my keyboard Installing that will get you the old launcher back.
Just make a new installation and change from latest release to the one of your choosing.
I'm trying to find where the.exe of minecraft prism uses to add it to my nvidia settings, but all i'm getting is the launcher itself Is there any way to find the actual instance of minecraft? Where is the actual minecraft exe located Hello everyone, i was looking to create a custom profile (in the corsair utility engine) for my mouse and keyboard that automatically enables when i'm in the minecraft window
The issue i am facing is that unlike other games which have their own.exe, minecraft seems to only have the launcher.exe. 7.4m subscribers in the minecraft community I want to have the minecraft launcher exe put on my desktop but i can't just drag it to the desktop i can only pin it to my taskbar I am using windows 11.
So, i googled it and found how to change that, the problem is i can’t find the minecraft executable
I know it’s not minecraft.exe, but java.exe, but i can’t find where it is It said it was on programfiles (x86)/minecraft, but i can’t find the minecraft folder, there is only a minecraft launcher folder. Stupid ass windows doesn't show the launcher in the search results anymore.i dont have the desktop shortcut either, so where is the actual exe located? For some reason, now when i download the launcher (from minecraft.net, not from the windows store) there is no icon for the game
